Some of the Mapes Hotel's architectural details can been seen in this photograph from the 1950s. The four-part bay windows projected at the corners and the center of the buildings facade are clearly visible. Other Art Deco aspects of the architectural design included aluminum-framed windows, zigzag brick cornice, and finials placed at intervals along the cornice to emphasize the building's verticality. | Date: ca. 1950s | Source: Special Collections, University of Nevada, Reno Libraries Download Original File
